The XJR575 is the new performance vehicle of the XJ range with power up from 550PS to 575PS, delivering 0-62mph (100 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds. Jaguar Land Rover’s 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine also provides 700Nm of torque, providing the new addition to the range with effortless acceleration and refinement. First previewed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in camouflaged form, the 2018 Jaguar XJR575 turns the heads in a number of ways.
Customers will be able to choose between two bespoke exterior color finishes created by Special Vehicle Operations – Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey – while additional tailor-made exterior details include a rear spoiler, side sills, front bumper and lower air intakes featuring gloss black surrounds.
Updated exterior badging and twin bonnet louvres mark the vehicle out from the rest of the range, as do the red brake calipers that accompany the 20-inch Farallon gloss-black wheels. Bespoke embossed tread plates alongside intaglio and diamond-quilted seating add a final flourish to the XJR575’s interior.
Technology-wise, the car is equipped with latest Jaguar InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, which is available featuring quad-core power, a 10-inch screen, and built-in 4G Wi-Fi.The advanced driver-assist systems available include automatic emergency braking and park, blind-spot and lane-keep assist. There’s also the “Driver Condition Monitoring” feature, which warns of driver inattention due to distraction or drowsiness using a facial-recognition camera.
The company has not revealed XJR575 pricing. But, presently available 2017 Jaguar XJR range starts at $118,000. A slightly added price on the top of the current version can secure one of these rear-wheel-drive masterpieces. The car is expected to arrive at dealers’ end late in the fourth quarter of this year.
