The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been finally launched in India under price range starting from ₹ 5.45 lakh for the petrol variant and ₹ 6.45 lakh for the diesel variant (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The news pertaining to the launch has been shared on CarKrew.com on April 25, 2017.
The car can be booked at dealerships for a token of ₹ 11,000 and the dealers have already garnered 33,000 bookings in the last 11 days.
The new Dzire primarily comes in four variants, in both petrol and diesel trim options – LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi, and ZXi+/ZDi+ and is based on Suzuki’s new ‘Heartect’ platform which was first was unveiled globally in March at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show through new Swift.
|L||₹ 5,45,000||₹ 6,45,000|
|V||₹ 6,29,000||₹ 7,29,000|
|Z||₹ 7,05,000||₹ 8,05,000|
|Z+||₹ 7,94,000||₹ 8,94,000|
|V AMT||₹ 6,76,000||₹ 7,76,000|
|Z AMT||₹ 7,52,000||₹ 8,52,000|
|Z+ AMT||₹ 8,41,000||₹ 9,41,000|
The new platform weighs considerably less due to use of a highly rigid frame which reduces the reinforcements which in turn reduces the overall weight of the car. While the length of the car is still less than 4 metres, it has gained 40 mm in width and the wheelbase has increased by 20 mm which should mean that the new DZire will feel bigger from the inside.
NOTE: The company says it invested Rs. 1,000 crore in the development of the new Maruti Dzire.
